Lampemesteren carries a wide range of lighting solutions from Fritz Hansen, but their range offers much more than just lighting. The company was founded in 1872, when Fritz Hansen moved to Copenhagen from his hometown of Nakskov. His workshop by Christianshavn specialised in woodturning, crafting lovely decorative objects as well as practical chair legs.
He started his own furniture production in 1885, and he worked with some of the biggest names in design and architecture over the years, including
Arne Jacobsen,
Piet Hein, and Poul Kjærholm. In 2015, Fritz Hansen bought the Danish lighting company
Lightyears. Their range fits perfectly into Fritz Hansen’s universe that focuses on exquisite craftsmanship, quality, and timeless design.
Fritz Hansen’s collection now features furniture and home accessories from some of the most renowned designers of our time, like
Jaime Hayon, Piero Lissoni, Benjamin Hubert, Kasper Salto, and
Cecilie Manz. They all share a vision of creating a sculptural expression that is neither design nor art, but a combination of the two.
