HAY Lamps

Design company HAY was founded 2002 by the founder of Bestseller; Trols Holch Povlsen and the young designer couple; Mette and Rolf Hay. The designer couple has always been a little bit of furniture nerds and they have previously worked for companies like Gubi and Paustian. Rolf Hay’s skills in design is combined with a collaboration with the most innovative Danish designers such as Louise Campbell, Hee Welling and Jacob Wegner, and has since the beginning resulted in great success for HAY.

The creative director has been himself behind the popular Ella-table and Mags modul-couch. He has also made his mark as an interior architect, he received 2009 award for ”Years Firesoul” from Danish Boligmagasinet.

In 2015, the company started a collaboration that could only result in something great; The British Sebastian Wrong has, like HAY, made a positive impression in international design. He was a co-founder and former Design Director of the British top brand Established & Sons, which produces designs from designers such as Ingo Maurer, Ross Lovegrove and brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. As a result of the collaboration, the successful collection Wrong for HAY was created - a collection that contains both furniture, accessories and lighting. In particular, the lighting part was very popular, so they decided to enter into an even closer collaboration, to create the lighting brand Wrong.london .
